Ramses is a tall, dark and handsome, 3-year-old, Egyptian Mau. A tribute to his ancestors immortalized in the cat statues in the Pyramids of Giza. When he sits so still glancing at you with his golden eyes, you will understand why the Pharaohs treasured these feline companions so much.

Egyptian Maus are very loyal and not too fond of change. This means that Ramses will need some time to adjust to a new home, but if given lots of patience and gentle support to gain your trust, he will wrap all his love around you, greet you with gentle chatter, and be glued to your side as long as you are around.

Ramses loves to sit next to the keyboard, leaning into me rubbing his head on my cheek, and purring up a storm. If I ignore him, he lets himself slide onto the keyboard and demands my attention. Although his playful spurts usually only last a few minutes, Ramses likes chasing the feather wand and little rattle toy mice.

Ramses is not too good with the other cats. He may be best with a single person, perhaps even an older person who is home a lot and just wants a snuggle buddy. He certainly is that, very gentle and kissy faced.
